  • Sure can! I have a mother in law who had a baby at 42, a friend that had her second child at 40 and another woman I know who had her first baby at just over 40.

    Yes. Over 35 increases the risk of Down Syndrome and others. There are many different risks involved with later-in-life pregnancies. This is NOT to say older women can't have healthy babies. They can and do. But, just to let you know there are risks. Your OBGYN can tell you all about them.
