how rare is a false positive?

my husband isnt too certain about the pregnancy test that my doctor gave me. im just curious as to how often a false positive actually happens

  • ^^ to get a positive on a pregnancy test you HAVE to have the pregnancy hormone in your system, you can't have that unless you're pregnant :)

  • i have had a couple of friends have false positives. one got so excited, told everyone, went to the doctor and found out it was false. was it a blood test? then those are rarely ever false

  • extremely rare unless it was what is called a chemical pregnancy where you body recognizes all of it except it never actually attaches to the uterine wall

  • well i had two done. one at my physician and one at my obgyn. i have yet to get the blood work done. my doctors are soooo slow. i wish i could just schedule it all myself and be done with it. because im like sooooooo excited. and ive already told everyone. and im just soooo tickled.
