could this be labor.....

in the past 3 hrs i've gotten sick 3 times i get really hot all of a sudden i start hurting and i throw up (sorry tmi) then my lower back all the way around cramp really bad.... could this be labor. I've heard some women get sick during contractions... should i wait it out?? im carrying the baby REALLY low so I've hurt for the past 3 weeks... but this is a different kind of hurt.... any advice????

  • How far along are you? With my first pregnancy, all my contractions were in my back, but I never got sick. Maybe if it happens again, call your doctor just to be on the safe side.

  • It could be, I say if you are hurting really bad go to the hospital. the worse thing that will happen is that they send you home after monitoring you

  • Possibly are they regular? Are u timing them? You may see some blood-tinged mucus, also called bloody show
    Rupture of membranes. This could be a gush of amniotic fluid or a slow leak. If you are home and not sure if your membranes ruptured, call your practitioner
    Contractions may be experienced in your lower back or abdomen. They may feel similar to menstrual cramping
    Increased pelvic pressure due to the descent of the baby into the pelvis
    Increased vaginal discharge
    Frequent, soft stools

  • I agree, I've never gotten sick but my friend did with both. Give them a call, it's better than having an unplanned home birth.

  • My fiance's mother had back labor and didn't know she was in labor with one of his brothers, until her water broke. I'd go get checked, then you'll know.
