how do you get candle wax out of carpet?

  • Put down a towel and use an iron. As it comes up,replace the towel with a new one.

  • You can also use newspaper instead of a towel and an iron.

  • I heard that if you use ice to freeze it, you can pick it out. I also have heard that if you take a cotton towel and an iron you may be able to lift it out but that could be damaging to the carpet depending on what it is made from.

  • I would try freezing it first. You won't ruin you carpet with ice, but you could with an iron.

  • Paper bag and an iron has always worked for me. The ice cube is the trick for gum stuck in the carpet or for lifting the depressions left by the furniture when you move it around. Just drop an ice cube in the depression and walk away.
