facebook--can't you hide someone's posts from your news feed without having to delete them from your friends?

you know, the ones that are posting stupid stuff like "aaaaargh i'm going to scream" and "wth do you think you're doing" and other annoying stuff. lol. or "watching the office" at 5 then at 6 "watching my name is earl". ;)

maybe people who you want to be able to keep in touch with but don't want to see every thought that passes through their head? or every little activity they partake in??? :D

...didn't know which category...

  • Yes you can on one of their post scroll to the right and a hidden things will pop up and you can hide them. I am not sure the exact wording but it is very easy.

  • Go to your home page and put your mouse to the right of their post and the invisible X mark will click on that then the option to hide pops up;)

  • Yes. You should be able to put the mouse pointer by the post and it should give you the option to hide the persons news feeds.

  • yeah. whoever it is, the next time they post something, there'll be a little gray box that shows up when you wave your mouse to the right of it that says "Hide." It'll then give you the option of hiding all posts from that person.

  • If you want to hide all comments from that person, you can click on the X that appears in the upper right hand corner of the post and then select "hide ". But that will get rid of all of their comments from your feed into the future, even ones that aren't as mundane as you stated. You can still go to their page and look at their comments there if you wanted to. That won't remove them from your friends list. And that will free up your news feed for more important updates.

    I hope that helps!
