  • It was sealed off because it is basically a hole in the closet that leads down to the laundry room. We have a coal chute too from the old furnace system. I live in a pretty old house.

  • Not yet. Our old house had one that DH put in. It was really cool, a long piece of square duct that ran right to my large rolling laundry hamper (that he also made).
