Can you watch American tv shows on tv while stationed overseas in military?

I was thinking how all the holiday shows around the holiday season that u look forward to every year, your favorite daily shows, etc....Is there a way to still watch?

  • Yeah they have American Forces Network (AFN)
    Its pretty much like very basic cable. Not that many channels.

  • Yes, it is called the AFN..or Armed Forces Network. There are a group of channels..I think 3 that show American programming. It is a bunch of the most popular shows here. In the military you dont watch too much tv though. lol I used to watch the soaps, Good Morning America, David Letterman, Friends, Seinfeld, WWE, 7th Heaven, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, etc. Mostly a combination of sitcoms with a few dramas mixed in. Also all the major sporting events are available.
