How should I address this letter?

I recently had an interview and I'd like to write a thank you letter. Should I address the person by her first name, or Ms. XXXX? I don't know if she's a Ms. or Mrs.

  • Ms. is appropriate for an woman over 30 and not sure if she's married or not. The letter should be to Ms. (Last Name) and the envelope should include the full name with title - Ms. First Name Last Name.

  • I was always told when you're not sure to use Miss. but that was a while ago when I was in high school, times change so fast these days. But I have never recieved negative comments when using Miss when I was not sure.
