I would like to give these for Christmas gifts,I wanted some ideas to go put inside of them.

  • You could fill the larger ones with Poinsettia plants, Amaryllis bulb (blooms indoors in winter), or a small evergreen (Christmas) tree that you could decorate with mini lights and ornaments.

The medium/small size cans could hold homemade baggies (ziploc) of different soup basics--pastas, beans, dried noodles, seasonings, etc. (where the person just add hot water). Or ziploc packages of hot chocolate, mini marshmallows, chocolate dipped plastic spoons, cinnamon or peppermint sticks. Or for the coffee lover, a variety of instant coffees, non dairy creamer, sugar, chocolate dipped plastic spoons.

You can then wrap the entire package in clear cello, and tie with a pretty bow and gift tag, and "garnish" with some Christmas ornaments or candy canes.

Just a few "winter themed" ideas! :o)

  • If you live where it snows make a snowman kit with a hat, some buttons for eyes, a scarf for the neck, some branches for arms etc., or fill with assorted gourmet coffee or teas and cookies. Make homemade cut out cookie dough (or mix if you can't refrigerate it. Include the recipe and instructions, cookie cutters, a rolling pin. Or fill it with craft supplies for making your own holiday decorations, cards, scrapbooks etc., fill them with holiday story books or movies, popcorn and cocoa mix..... have fun!
