What to do with Sweetened Condensed Milk?

I have 2 cans of sweetened condensed milk that need to be used. I have just canned all my fresh peaches, but I do have strawberries, and a small amount each of blueberries, blackberries, and raspberries. I also have a lot of oranges (not sure if that's helpful). The kicker is that I don't have any granulated sugar right now, but I will have to go to the store in the next day or so to get some, and will go sooner if there aren't any recipes I can make without it. In the meantime, I do have powdered sugar and brown sugar. So, what can I do with my sweetened condensed milk?

  • Do you have some lemons or limes? Graham crackers? Make pie!

To the 2 cans of sweetned condensed milk add:
2/3 c. fresh lemon or lime juice
    1 T. of zest
    1/2 c. sour cream
Combine and pour into a prepared graham cracker crust. Bake at 300 for only 10 minutes or so. Just until you see tiny pin hole bubbles on the surface. Do not brown. Cool completely, chill. Top with fresh whipped cream.

  • I make my cream puddings with mine. I've never used brown sugar in the recipe but it may make it interesting!

  • Are there any recipes on the inside of the label? Last time I used it I was making key lime pie and I thought I remembered a recipe on the label.

  • leave the lids on and boil them in a pot for about 1/2 hour and carefully open them and pour them in a pie crust cool and top with cool whip. 1 can = 1 pie

  • I LOVE sweetened condensed milk. It is great by itself or you can make tons of things with it. I would go to, they have recipes of all kinds. I always keep sweetened condensed milk and evaporated milk in my pantry. They are handy for making quick sweets and cream soups.
