  • My oldest was reading early readers at 4 (stories, not just sight words). Our youngest didn't hit that level until she was closer to 6. Our oldest has been reading at a college level since 4th grade, but our youngest is just about 1 1/2 grade levels ahead. Each child is different and learns at their own pace.

  • We started working on sight words at 3,by 4 he was reading basic words put together. He just turned 5 and is able most of a level 1 reader sometimes a level 2. We are trying not to push it too much so hes not stressed or anything but he seems to enjoy it.
