What kind of games or activities are appropriate to play with my 7-month old?

I have an older son (2 1/2 years old) and I am trying divvy up my playtime between the two. My daughter is no longer content in chilling in her exersaucer, yet she's not stable enough that I can leave her on our wood floor b/c she always topples over. I am a stay-at-home mom & am running out of ideas to challenge my young baby, now that I have two on my hands. (And just because I stay at home, doesn't mean I don't do anything else...either, just to make that clear.) Thanks, I will try any and all advice given!

  • Use a boppy pillow (or other pillows) to prop her up on the floor, or use a playpen or pack-n-play and put her in there with some toys. I used to put a couple of blankets down on the floor and put my babies on their tummies with toys around them to strengthen their backs and necks. As Maureen-MD suggested, play pat-a-cake or other games/songs with her on your lap or on the floor.
