Can you boil pasta in the microwave?

Our gas is off until Tues. Spaghetti is a staple at our house since it's cheap...can I still make it.

  • Yes you can. Here are some instructions.

  • Yes you can, but I suggest you check your manual or check on the net about the power setting. Water boiling a starchy product produces the whole boil over effect. If you use a lower power so it cycles in and out, you should be able to avoid a nightmare inside your microwave.

  • I've done it before. Use a larger plastic bowl/container and extra water.
