  • Scientists have found proof that homosexuality is NOT a choice. It involves the chemical make-up of the brain. In a gay male is it different than that of a hetero male. Same with women. But, like evolution, and innoculations, and a thousand other scientific proofs, christians believe that if they ignore it, it will eventually have to go away. When I have asked my gay friends why they are the way they are, they make it clear. It isn't something they are choosing--like being a doctor or a dancer or whatever. It is something they just are. Science has been trying to tell us the truth for over 15 years now. It's just that some of us stand there with our fingers in our ears shouting "La-la-la. I can't hear you so it isn't true!!"

  • nkkk07 - But there is proof. Studies have been done over and over again with the same results. The brains of homosexual females are similar in structure to that of the brains of heterosexual males and the brains of homosexual males are similar in structure to that of the brains of heterosexual females. Also those verses you used to show that it is an abomination are very different than they were 2000ish years ago. Christianity never originally condemned homosexuality. Those verses talk about pagan sex rituals. But due to mistranslations, political agendas and the sheepish nature of the masses, modern Christians have come to believe that homosexuality is wrong.

Older - the fundies will never give up no matter how much proof you give them to the contrary.

  • There IS 100% proof over and over again that for the majority homosexuality is an inborn trait and not a choice. Studies have proven it over and over... But those which appose it so greatly, will always find a reason, beyond all proof to justify their feelings.

  • Hehe, all their 'proof' is based on a book written by a bunch of men who heard voices in their heads. :D

  • " There is proof that it is an abomonation to God and He did not create any of us that way..."

Um, ,no. there is no "proof" of your god, nor of his supposed opinion of his gay children.
It's merely an excuse for you and others to proclaim (without guilt) your judgement and condemnation of your brothers and sisters in humanity. It is an excuse for you to pretend to be your god, and feel more important as though you are better than your fellow 'sinners".

  • There already is proof of it. That's why it was removed form being considered a psychiatric condition and a choice.

  • it wouldnt matter...the scientists who proved it would just be deemed workers of Satan and the whole of the research would be discredited as lies. just like evolution and dinosaurs.

and nkk, i understand that you believe the Bible to be 100% truth and thats your right, but your belief does not make it scientific proof. just b/c something is written down does not make it proof. if we used that kinda logic then Oz, Wonderland, Neverland, and a host of fictional stories could also be seen as proof of worlds that dont exist.

  • it's funny how someone asked a "hypothetical" question and got a BUT THERE IS NO PROOF! as if it has no right to be there at all just bc it may or may not be correct. that is not an answer nkkk, you can still say no.

  • Id sure hope so, considering g-d mad all of us. Why would he make people who are instantly delt an unfair hand in life and doomed to hell? I don't think he would. He loves all his children and wants us all to love one another!!
