Throwing someone under the bus

What does that even mean? This is just a chat/forum website, how can anyone throw any body under anything? Why do some people take this place so seriously? There are "top secret" groups where you aren't allowed to share any of their "super secret" information or else you're throwing the group under the bus. If someone has a dozen fake profiles and you call them out on it, you're throwing that person under the bus.....What the heck does that mean lol? I've been reading that phrase a lot on here lately and it makes me laugh. What are your thoughts?

  • We'll my interpretation of "Throwing Someone Under a Bus" is just as it entails. The person is trying to stroke their own ego by pointing out wrong doers. A person needs to be careful about doing things like that because it could come "to bite them back." Another expression. It's really squealing on another person to get attention brought out not only about the wrong-doer but to the person who actually brings the information out in the open gets some satisfaction for being a "Whistleblower" another expression.

  • i agree no one can throw anyone under the bus here. It's so silly to think people can actually have that much power over someone else. this site shuts down as soon as you click the button... no bus.. nothing but a distant memory
