  • My son is in preschool. He also played soccer last FALL. $72 at the Local Ymca for 2 months. He plays t-ball. We ask him and if he seems interested....we put him in. If he does not like it...we won't do it again. I am not going to hold him back and we always encourage him to try new things.

Happy2bmommy, Grew up with 3 siblings. Had no problem resolving issues. Played basketball, softball, cheerleading, gymastics, and ran track. My parents TAUGHT me these things. I know a foreign notion nowadays.

  • We didn't do too many activities that weren't the story time at the library (free) or with our church (free). I don't believe in over scheduling or over stimulating children. Too many children have no childhood because the parents over schedule them.

  • activities around here are $8-$12 an hour. soccer would be one or two days a week for 4-6 weeks.
personally, i don't see the value in it at this age.
i find kids that are in lots of activities have a very difficult time managing their own lives...like they cannot resolve an issue with a sibling or friend without a grown up.
