what is your families most frequent activity to go do , like bowl, etc.

Everything we do is so costly, and we need to have a dinner scheduled to avoid dinner out.
I'm planning to cook more as it's less hot at this time / day.
Anyone ??

((kind of a double Q'' so I had to pick 1 category

  • Playground - mine are 2 and 1. It's free. Never eat out. The food I cook is 100 times better than any fancy restaurant.

  • We love to bowl but we haven't done it lately! We try to do dinner out at least once a week!

  • We love to play disc golf.....initial investment can be pretty steep but once the discs are purchased the courses are free. We also picked up a couple of Frisbee games on clearance at Target that we play out in the backyard.

  • We get a family pass to our local pool every year - some weeks we go once, some weeks we go every day. There is nothing else in our town and not much in the near-by towns (20 miles away) - we'd have to go an hour each way for much! We like to go in the evening when it's not so busy, so we either eat at 5 and all go, or I'll cook while DH takes the kids and we'll eat at 8 or so. Eating out isn't an option, there's nothing in this town and I refuse to drive almost 40 miles round-trip just for a quick meal.

  • Movie night and bowling. There's also a think tank (includes a planetarium) which has seasonal membership for adults and kids go free. Do you have anything like that nearby?

  • We go the park or playground at a local grade school. The playground is open to the public during non-chool hours. We also have a local sprinkler park for free.
