  • Maybe the schools should put gym and recess back into the school day. Maybe you should MYOB? How do you know that the child isn't on meds that make him/her gain weight? Has a medical condition that causes weight gain? I know many kids that are in sports (football, soccer, etc) that are still overweight. Sometimes, it's not as easy as putting a child in sports or watching what they eat.

  • I wasn't in any "sports" other than playing with the 20 kids on my street. Yet I am not obese. Why? My parents kept the junk food out of the house. Including high fructose corn syrup.

  • Yes I am yelling in my head, not out loud. I just think it's sad because I think of all of the health issues that come along with not being active

  • tyfry even if the child were on meds and were overweight from that. A healthy diet and exercise never harmed anyone. Even if ur child isnt overweight ppl should do this with their children it has so many benefits not just with weight either

  • Lack of activity is a problem. For many people. However, what people are feeding their kids, contributes just as much if not more to their weight issues.

It's a multi layer problem in this country.
