Are your teens in a better mood (extremely better) when they have a boyfriend or girlfriend??

My daughter is completely different when she has a boyfriend than not! She's picky about a boyfriend too, not just anyone will do for her!! But I also noticed this when my son found his girlfriend. Not quite as extreme but noticeable difference, happy.

  • Studies have shown that being in love is like being on drugs for teens. It wouldn't surprise me at all.

  • The teen we fostered was. She made homelife terrible when they weren't going out. But could switch to giddy in a second with a phone call from "him";)

  • My GR-dd turned almost instantly into a different girl w/a boyfriend. They broke up, but she stay nice and happy. It just made her feel good about herself that someone out of the family liked her for her. Boys, my son didn't show much difference to me that I can remember.

  • My older son does not want to date, he says he wants to stay focused on sports, school and friends. However sometimes I think his mood might be improved if he had one...but who knows...I'm glad he's not entirely interested in dating but at the same time I think sometimes he really needs a girlfriend. :)
