how much should i feed my 5 week old a day ?

  • feed your baby when they are hungry. each baby is different. my daughter is 2 weeks, she wakes herself up to eat every 3-4 hours, sometimes it's only 2 ounces and sometimes it's 5 ounces. she knows when she's hungry and how hungry she is so i let her decide

  • •On average, a newborn consumes about 1.5-3 ounces every 2-3 hours. This amount increases as your baby grows and is able to take more at each feeding btw a 5 week old is considered a newborn . good luck:)

  • My boys were nursing every two - three hours at that age. The time between feedings gradually got longer and longer. He/she does not need anything other than brestmilk or formula right now. Congratulations!

  • i put my newborns to the breast every time they are awake. if they latch on, i let them eat : )
