What foods will raise your good cholesterol?

  • what rk recommends is a great diet for everyone!
    for overall health, you could include daily walks.
    do not avoid the sunshine and fresh air!
    get a good night sleep every night.
    see a chiropractor regularly to optimize your nervous system, which controls everything!
    live a balanced well, sleep well, exercise well, work well (not too much!), love well and pray well!
    if anything is out of balance it can effect any aspect of your health.

  • Whole grains (5-6 servings a day), legumes (1-2 servings a day), vegetables and fruits (7-8 servings a day in at least three different colors), lots of water (8 8oz glasses a day). Cut way back on, or eliminate meat and dairy

  • elevated levels of cholesterol is a sign that your body is undergoing cellular repair, not a reflection of your diet, and not an indicator of heart disease. in fact, now that so many cholesterol levels are being lowered with medication, there are more and more heart disease patients with low cholesterol.. .
    heart disease has not decreased despite the huge numbers of people on cholesterol lowering meds...maybe we are barking up the wrong tree?

  • Okay, a little more info. I had a heart attack last fall. My bad cholesterol is high and my good cholesterol is low. I weigh 120 so I'm not overweight. I'm on meds but they don't seem to be working. I'm just trying to see what I can do to help myself.
