We cook things like pulled pork, bbq chicken, hamburgers, potato salad, veggie platter, fruit platter or fruit salad, pasta salad with shrimp, coleslaw, baked beans, corn on the cob. And for dessert cake, cheesecake or ice cream.
We'll be on vacation but we normally host all of the holidays because we have the biggest house and I LOVE being the hostess. At any rate, for summer parties we do a BBQ and bonfire. We also have an inflatable movie screen, projector and speaker system so sometimes we do outdoor movies. Kabobs are easy to make and healthy! I make this great potato dish that's super easy. All you do is chop some potatoes, green peppers & onions. Pour some olive oil in a baking dish dump the chopped potatoes, onions & peppers in there and a few pats of butter and then sprinkle some seasoning salt on it. Bake them in an oven at 425 degrees for about 30 minutes. You can also make them on the grill wrapped in tinfoil.
