  • My little brother had a really hard time with this (guess cuz it's harder for a boy). He started doing it himself around 5 years old... and even then it was a little messy.

  • My son is 3.5 and wants to do it himself, but I just feel better about having a grown up do it. I would say, Give him a chance on his own a few times and if does good then let go. :)

  • Mine dd is almost 4, and I still do it. She doesn't get the concept yet, and with girls it's so easy to get a UTI. Maybe I'm overprotective, and need to work harder on teaching her.

  • My son is 6 and we are still working on it. Of course he is not 'typical' but still I am sure he is capable. I dunno maybe it's a boy thing.

  • I taught my kids when I potty trained them, I bought the flushable wipes for them to use. so around age 3 to 3 1/2 with occasional help
