  • mastitis is a breast infection, and thrush is like a yeast infection in your mouth (it can spread to the breast if you're bf a baby with thrush)

  • mastitis, however you spell it, is an infection you get in your breasts. Thrush is a yeast infection in a baby's mouth. It's common, especially after a vaginal delivery. Or they can pick it up off of toys or nipples and bottles not cleaned well enough, it's a fungus. So they can have thrush in their mouth and pass it on to the mom to get mastitis....which is very painful and can cause big problems. That is about all I know about it.
