what can I substitute for eggs?

I'm craving brownies & I have a mix but it calls for egg & I am out. What can I sub? I sub applesauce for oil in cakes and bread but not sure if I could do it with brownies & if applesauce is a sub for eggs

  • If you have milled flax seed, you can substitute that for eggs in many recipes. The ratio is this: 1 TBS milled flax seed + 3 TBS water = 1 egg. You can also try 2 TBS cornstarch for each egg.

  • you can substitute 1/4 cup applesauce per egg.

    though the texture will end up different if you don't use eggs.

  • Expect the brownies to come out very dense if you use applesauce, but I like them really dense, so I say go for it.

  • Use egg whites not applesauce. Let me know how it turns out. message me,have a brownie for me!! It is way too hot to bake in Illinois.
