Is black mushy poop normal? if not should i change formula's?

my son is 5 months old

  • i dont think thats normal, i would try a different brand of formula and see if that helps, if not talk to a doctor about switching to a different type of formula. good luck

  • i would call the pedi it could be a milk allergy.

  • I would as the pedi but from my experiance with my 10month old it ment that there was too much Iron in his diet and it cause the poo to be black and not green or brown. My son was not getting enough Iron so I had to give him iron supplument drops and it turned his poo black .

  • Black, 'coffee ground" mushy looking stools can be a sign of bleeding (old blood) I would call a DR to rule it out!
