My 16 month old does not chew his food...

he has 4 molars and I still cut up everything but I cannot give him celery or stuff like that cause he just puts it in his mouth and swallows it. Even corn he swallows whole. Why won't he chew it... lol

  • Mine didn't like to chew much either. Just keep the foods soft and cut them into very small pieces. It's more work on your part, yes, but you don't want him to choke because he refuses to chew. They grow out of it very slowly, but one day you'll notice that he's actually chewing like a big kid!

  • Mine does the same thing and he's a little older than yours. It's very frustrating for me.
