When my children were small, kindergarten age, they both wanted to be scientists. Well, they got their wish, both are doctors and both went to law school. I had two major geeks! I am just glad they like what they do. My dd wanted to be a ballet dancer and my son wanted to be in a rock band. Well, they got that wish too. I told both of them that they could pursue the arts if they could back it up with a real degree that they could support themselves with. So, my dd is a professional ballerina, with several major ballet companies and my son plays the drums, the bass guitar and does some vocals in his boy band. I think it is great they got what they dreamed as well as something they love to do. I just know they will not be moving back home when they are 40 years old. They are 29 and 22 years old respectively.
