Anybody tried a keratin treatment?

My dd has very curly, thick frizzy hair. My hair stylist recommended this procedure for her, any thoughts? or advice?

  • There is a product called Liquid Keratin. It doesn't contain the harsh chemicals in a salon treatment. It lasts about thirty days and will virtually do the same thing. Here is more information: Liquid Keratin

  • a keratin or protien treatment are GREAT for hair..

your hair is made of keratin/protein.. so you are just replacing some of what it's lost to keep the hair healthy.

so yes, definitely recommend. (you can make at home treatments or buy them, just be sure they contain what they need to contain, example, pantene has treatments, but they don't have keratin/protein in them).

some salons even offer the service so you don't have to worry about what you are buying at the store (just be sure it's as advertised, ex. Protein treatment or keratin treatment.. ).

also be sure she uses good products like my favorite is joico k-pac shampoo and conditioner (has keratin in it)... and try having her use a thermal protectant moose and a diffuser (an attachment to a blow dryer) until hair is only slightly damp, NOT until it is bone dry.
it will help with a lot of these issues.
