Beginning of Labor?

Can you be in labor for a few days? I have had some pretty strong, yet pretty irregular contractions that feel like the real thing, for a few days now. Each day they get stronger, but still not regular enough to go to the hospital. Could this possibly be the beginning of labor?

  • my contractions never got regular...i had sex with my fiance which started braxton hick and so i went out with him and spent hours walking around shopping centers trying to keep them going. they weren't painful and they weren't regular and lasted that way for hours. that night i just decided to go to the hospital and i was 5 cm, she was born that night with my contractions never getting regular

prodromal labor can last for a long time. i think i've heard of it last a couple of weeks for some ladies.
best thing for you to do is relax. if you try to get things moving, then when it's time for the big event, you might be too exhausted for it.
