Giving advise

Have you ever given advise but never took your own advise?

I just reconnect with an old friend from high school and she was telling me what great advise I always gave but wondered why I stayed with my ex after the crap he did to me.
I've always said leave a cheater, an abuser but yet I never did till he killed your unborn child. (he beat the hell out of me and I miscarried a couple days later) that opened my eyes.
So have you ever given advise but you don't follow your own?

  • It's always easier to "know" the right thing to do, rather than to do the right thing. Yes I think all of us have done this in one way or another.

  • it is sometimes easier to preach to other then take your own advice and alot of time we have to learn the hard way. life is to short to be abused. best of luck

  • yes, its easier to see what other people are doing wrong and how to change it. Very sorry about your loss. I am glad you got out of it without YOU getting killed.
