If i'm trying to ship a package on the ups website and its asking me if the place is this"Residential Surcharge" what does that mean?

Its 3 dollars extra for Residential Surcharge so what is that why is there a fee for that it doesnt tell me on there darn website.

  • it means if it's a house or other building that is residential (people live there) that there is an extra fee.

    I say use the post office instead but that's just me ;o)

  • I've never seen that before and we've shipped a lot of packages via UPS to residential addresses with our business. I would just try to delete that shipment and reprocess it or take it to the local UPS store.
