Can you use the post office if you need to ship a huge box thats 5 feet high but weighs 1 pound?

  • Sure, but they could charge you an extra fee due to how awkward and big it is. My aunt just shipped me a HUGE car seat and they tagged on an extra 30 bucks to it due to the size. GL!

  • @ Erin814... Agreed. Cost 120 bucks to ship a carseat from the mainland to Hawaii lol. 30 bucks of that was the fee I was referring to.

    combined height can't be over 130 inches. which means height + length + width. so measure each side and add together, if it's under 130, then yes you can ship it USPS

  • Your best bet would be to take it in to your nearest PO and ask. Is it anything that can be folded or taken apart and put in a smaller size box?
