Is my daughter getting enough milk?

I'm worried my 10 month old isn't getting enogh breastmilk. 5-8 times during the day(depends if I can get her focused lol) and had been sleeping through the night, but the last three days she won't sleep more the 4 hours. On top of that she has been more fussy and suddenly my nipples hurt like when I first started nursing and I have no idea why. With all that going on I'm worried my milk production has gone way down. Any nursing mothers have these problems?

  • I was thinking the same thing, sounds like you could be pregnant. Or, you could be about to start your period. That can cause tender nipples and a temporary drop in supply.

  • I thought about that because that was my first sign with my daughter, but I took a pregnancy test about a week and a half ago and it was negative.

  • as for a period I haven't had one so it could be lead up to it, since I don't know what my new pms symptoms will be.

  • When I was nursing my middle child, I got pregnant and things were fine for a little while, but all of a sudden my baby kept fussing and went from nursing twice a night to all night long. He was crabby and he started to pinch and hit me. That is when I realized my milk was drying up. He had just turned one, so I just started giving him cow milk.
