How old was your child when they stopped taking afternoon naps?

  • The youngest is almost 1 yr old and he still naps. The older two stopped around 3 years of age.

  • my oldest just turned two, she could never fall asleep at nap time, it was a battle, once we finally let her stop taking them she actually did better during the day, and slept better at night, I did still make her rest for like 25 min reading books until just recently. My youngest is 1 1/2 and still naps.

  • My oldest is 2 today. And napping now. I am not looking forward to when he begins that transition, since some days they need it and some days they don't. Yesterday he didn't have one and played hard with other kids ALL day. He was insanely cranky and to bed early then had trouble the first couple hours he was down.

  • My son was 18 months old when he stop taking naps. At 4 years old now...he has never seemed to need them since that age.

  • My oldest was 4 now he had days where he did not nap from 3 1/2 but he napped most days till 4. My middle child was 3 1/2 and the baby is 2 and she still naps.
