It is an uncommon connective tissue disease. It's a type of inflammatory myopathy, which is characterized by muscle inflammation and weakness. The most noticeable characteristic of polymyositis is weakness of the skeletal muscles, which control movement.

Has anyone heard of this? I was just diagonsis with it after being in the hospital for about two weeks. Any advice or information (besides the internet, lol) would be greatly appreicated about this condition.

  • i would honestly look up natural remedies and cures for this, i would google diet and polymyositis. i would take a hard close look at your diet, and any medications you have and are taking.
i would also see a chiropractor regularly. they "tune up" you nervous system so that it can work its best.
    good luck! is it painful?
