Do you purchase all of the supplies on the back to school list?

When you go shopping for back to school supplies do you follow the list set out by the school or do you get what you want?

  • I buy everything on the list and extras to donate to the classroom. When supplies are dirt cheap, I stock up.

  • I follow the list...why wouldn't I?

  • I always follow the list, our school district requires it. I thought most did?

  • I buy the package of all of the supplies through the PTA now, but even when I went shopping, I bought everything on the list.

  • Yep, but nothing ridiculous about our list. I spent less than $10. If I'd bought what I'd wanted, I would have easily spent twice that, and that's not being overboard. Our list just doesn't require much.

  • My kid is in a independent study program (homeschool) So we don't get no list. I buy what is needed. IF I got a list though, I would buy what is ont that list. Then I would send my child out with one of each item. If I felt something was not needed I would go down and talk to the teacher about it.

  • no because our list is optional so I pick about 10 things off each kids list. We are not required to buy anything....

  • Nope. I buy just the basics to get her started and buy the rest throughout the year as it is needed.

  • I buy what's on the list. There's nothing out of the ordinary on my kids' lists, all normal stuff.
