  • Bumping him back to 8:30 this year (he's 7). Normally he's up until 9 or 10 anyway, and if he's not he's up by 5. We just make the rule that he has to be in bed reading, not up playing, by 8:30.

  • 17 - bed at 10. Room at 9.
    9 & 8 - bed at 8:45. Room at 8:00
    4 - bed at 8:00

However, since it is summer time - I give them free reign. Starting next week they have to begin bedtime schedules. :)

  • 8pm for my son he's 11 yrs, he requires more sleep. 9pm or later for my 3 year old, she still naps one time each day for 2 to 3 hours. Also, my son falls asleep within half an hour of going to bed most nights. Daughter falls asleep quicker.

  • My daughter is 8 y/o. During summer months & weekends, we allow her to stay up until 9p-10p. However, with school starting we are winding her back to her usual bedtime around 8:30 pm. She usually falls asleep right away, and on school days is up b/t 6:45-7am- on weekends up by 8am. I like the reading in bed rule. We may try that.

  • Mine are 8 and 9-lights out at 9 pm and they are fast asleep within 10 minutes. Often much sooner. We homeschool, so I don't need them up "early" 6 am or something like that....as it is now they sleep till about 7:30-8am. If they were still "in school" (aka going to public school then they would be going to bed by 8 pm, because I would need to have them up by 6:00 am to catch the bus @ 7 am.
