  • We live in a tiny 2 bedroom apartment for $575 a month, with me, DH and our two kids... and my neighbors would probably crap their pants if they knew both of our vehicles are paid off and we make over $5K a month gross... but we're fired up about getting out of debt, who cares if they think we're crazy!!

  • No, I do not think my neighbors care or wonder how much or how little.

  • hmm, idk. we live in a pretty affluent community and all of the 'wannabe's' have been foreclosed by now. so i think that everyone who still can afford their house and hasn't been forclosed on yet is pretty much in the same financial boat as us.

  • My neighbors are my in-laws and I'm pretty sure they think we make less then we actually do ... and that's because we don't tell them how much money we have or make.

  • My view is this, if my neighbors begin to pay my bills, then I will care what they make. People think I am rich because I have a new car and my children went to great colleges. When my children brought their dates home, the dates were very surprised to find out that my children were not 'trust fund babies'. lol

  • I think our neighbors don't care just like we don't care.

  • Let's just say we have the cheapest car in our neighborhood. That's right I said car not cars! I think a lot of them think we're struggling but we're not doing too bad. No car payment... less struggle :)

  • I think they would. Preschool moms probably think we have less simply because we do not brag about our money, do not spoil our son, and finally we do not live in a golf neighborhood. I hate golf.
