  • I would say no. Your LO isn't an expert at holding their head up yet and the chemicals are a little too harsh. Not to mention sun exposure and that sunscreen is not advisable just yet. I would hold off until about the 6 month mark.

  • I don't think the chlorine is a good thing for him. No,I wouldn't do it!

  • Ummm...honestly I wouldn't the baby is still really young, I'd probably give your baby a bath if its hot but wouldn't put the baby in the pool. Maybe next summer will be better.

  • My daughter was born in water, and to this day is a water bug. She loves swimming, bath time, and if you see a puddle watch out! lol The problem is the chlorine in pools is so strong. I don't know if I'd feel comfortable putting a 1 month old in a pool.

  • Thanks ladies. We wanna take our three year old to the pool tomorrow but I was just wondering if it would be okay for my LO to go too.

  • No way in a public pool. My daughter went in a private pool at 2 months.

  • Maybe you can put her in a baby pool at home? You can get one of the plastic ones from WalMart pretty cheap, and get in with her. She still gets the experience, and it's not as harsh on her skin. :)
