weight gain in the tummy.

I have had a lot of excess weight gain in just my tummy area.. does anyone know what this is caused by so I can try to avoid it, or do I need to see a doctor to find out why?

  • Are you bloated? If you have consumed a lot of sodium recently and/or haven't been drinking enough fluids, you can retain water, making you bloat. Could be gas - maybe try Gas-X? Or if your diet has not been so great, it could simply be weight gain. Try eating some fiber and drinking some extra water.

  • I don't know your age, but if you're menopausal, the weight just seems to go there...

  • Could be something in your diet. I store fat in my lower half so my belly isn't my probably.
Also 5BabyBees has an awesome answer :-)
