  • My marriage is 100%/100% in that we both give everything to make sure the other person's feelings and person is protected. There is no "me". It is only "we." And that's the way I believe every marriage should work if it is to succeed. If it is always about "me" and what's right for me, and you must think about and consider me, the marriage is doomed to fail. There does have to be the freedom to be one's own person at the same time we are thinking of our mates. It's really a balance that has to be learned. It takes time and it takes patience, but it is so worth the effort.

  • We discuss what needs to/should be done before making any big decisions. That is part of having open communication.

  • Major decisions are ALWAYS discussed. When it comes to piddly things, we are adult enought to let each other make their own decisions. We have VERY good communication in our relationship.
