question about making soup??? *from scratch* plz help!

Trying to put together whatever I can for a meal. I could make soup; I have some broth and veggies.... I have some potatoes...do I need to cook the potatoes first? Or can I basically throw everything in together at the same time?

  • Throw it all in at once. Only meat needs to be cooked before hand.

  • We always just throw it all in at the same time, just make sure everything is cut about the same size.

  • I've found that adding potatoes from the start helps thicken the broth. So, it depends if you want your broth a little thicker & starchier or not.
