Do you find yourself using the abbreiviations in real life?

I do all the time and they look at me like I've lost my mind.

DD, I thought you were talking about your child...was she with you when drinking?

  • yes! I often catch myself though. During a real life conversation or on facebook or something, I often refer to my boyfriend as "SO". I've never seen "SO" used outside on cafemom on the internet lol

  • Yeah sometimes It's in my head when I am speaking but I catch myself and do not verbalize it. You just get so used to it! ; )

  • Only thing I use is TMI. I used it the other day while outside with my mom "this may be TMI but I got a mosquito bite on my butt!" Then had to explain what TMI meant. :-) That's about it. I don't even use the abbreviations on here much.

    I really dislike the abbreviations. I say daughter, not DD. And I say SIgnifican Other...etc. Get what I mean?
