getting a smell out

my mil just gave us a dresser that they had stored in there basement for a while. its a really nice dresser but it stinks sooooo bad. mainly in the drawers. what can i do to get the smell out of the wood. i've cleaned the whole thing from top to bottom, and my husband told me to put dryer sheets in the drawers, i did but its not helping. i can smell it as soon as i walk into the room. any suggestions?

  • Also you could take a sock or such and fill it with coffee grounds and put in each drawer.

  • Use a wood soap to clean it and then add scented liners in the drawers.

  • IDK, but I heard that if you set the drawers out in the sun for several hours it might help.
