How many calories does a sedentary person burn each day?

I thought I'd read this before somewhere. For someone who sits at the computer all day with very little activity...how many calories do they burn just by 'being'.

  • Check out this site http://www.bmrcalculator.org/  It will give you your BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) which is basically the amount of energy a person burns per day just to stay alive. Scroll down to see how the calories change with different activity levels.
