what do i do when my 15 month old daughter is NOT walking yet?

she can stand up and dance. she stands up for long periods of time. she walks w/ walking toys. she can stand up and pick up something off the floor with out sitting down or sqauting. she can stand up by pushing off of the floor with her hands. she will walk to me or her dad if we are siting on the floor close to each other.

  • Sounds to me like she's getting there,ma! Don't worry. I'd worry if she wasn't attempting to do all the stuff you said that she's doing! Sounds like she'll be walking on her own anytime soon now..don't sweat it! :)

  • Sounds like she's almost there. Just keep having her practice walking but not a baby walker. Hold her hands below her shoulders

  • Talk to her ped. It could be an issue with the inner ear and her balance that is keeping her off her feet.

  • It's ok. She will. If she can stand and pull up. She will soon walk. My son was 14 months. I know a girl that was 18 months. She was carried all the time though. Just bear with her.

  • Everything sounds normal so I would not be concerned. Some children just walk later than others.

  • My daughter was a late walker. If you're concerned, talk to your pediatrician. Otherwise, just wait and enjoy the blissful peace of a child who doesn't walk yet.

  • My ped said if they are doing all that you mentioned...they are fine. It is not till 18 months that dr start worrying.

  • don't do anything more than help her to walk on her own. She sounds fine to me :-)
