parchment paper

Can i use waxed paper instead of parchment paper if a recipe calls for lining a pan with parchment paper??

  • Waxed paper will melt in the oven. Parchment paper is especially for baking. The parchment paper doesn't allow food to stick to its surface that's why I like it so much for baking.

  • you can but whatever you are baking may pull the was off with the food. thats the diff between the two!

    If it's just for something like rice crispy treats (not baked) it would be ok-
