  • Sorry, I had to run and didn't have a chance to give you a real answer. Here are my beliefs...

I believe that each life has a purpose. And that in order for us to fulfill that purpose there are specific things which will and have to happen. For example, if our life's purpose is to learn patients through parenthood, we would have to have children. Fate, does not rule over our every day lives like what we wear and where we walk, but those aspects which shape our purpose are fated IMO. So in this case, we may be fated to have 2 children (maybe more or less) but the point is that we wouldn't be able to change that fact. I also believe that Fate will step in when things which disrupt our purpose happen - for example, if we are fated to cure cancer and die in a car accident, fate will step in to make sure we are revived.

Beyond that, I have a great belief in the Law of Attraction/Karma...

But yes, many things happen for a reason.

  • No. Things happen because of our choices, other people's choices, timing, and random events.

  • No. Our lives are one big game of chance, nothing is predestined.

If only that WAS true! I have been waiting for that to happen for about 20 years. But I bet it won't.
See...that's why I think it s all "random".
