  • we have it on for the time we are home on sprout channel, but half the time she doesn't watch it,shes doing her own thing, but some days she grabs her blankie and pillow and crashes on the couch and watches tv lol, i figure we all have days we just wanna relax so can she, but we always (unless raining) plan a 1-2 hr activity outside park, swimming, errends, sprinkler, anything to get her in natural fresh sunlight :)

  • ya we do PBS also! I love that everything is educational in one way or another and I am not worried about vulgar acts or language.

  • I'm probably more liberal than most of these mamas, but I let my kids watch pretty much anything G or PG rated. My kids are 5 and 2. Some PG movies have been banned for language, but others are ok.

  • My 20 mon. son doesn't sit to watch tv at all unless he is in my lap but then it is more cuddle time than tv time!

  • He "watches" a lot of shows on PBS like Sesame Street, Sid the Science Kid, Word Girl, etc. Some shows on Nick Jr. like Ruby & Max, Dora & Diego, Wonder Pets etc. and he watches Spongebob and Penguins of Madagascar. Then on Disney he likes Handy Manny and Mickey's Playhouse. Granted, I doubt he's ever actually sat through an entire episode of any of these lol but these are the ones I've seen him briefly watch or recognize.

  • I don't listen to the "experts" on how much tv is allowed. I can gauge that well by my kids. My son, 5 and daughter, 2 watch a lot of PBS and Tigger and Pooh and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and they are better for it. THey have learned a lot of things from those shows. My mouth dropped open one day when my 2 yr old was spelling on Superwhy, yes SPELLING. And she recognizes words too thanks to Word World. I've found that my kids actually like the learning shows more! They also love Seaseme Street and Sid the Science Kid.
